It was like being in the Me Decade again

On Sunday, Sept. 21, there was a special Nickel Plate Express ride and, dare we say it, EXPERIENCE just for photographers. A very exclusive group of shooters had the opportunity to use 1970s vehicles, 1970s-clad extras, and the train itself as props to stage a variety of faux-vintage images for their portfolios.

The Reporter’s own Bill Miller was one of the lucky few who got to spend an entire day touring historic rail locations and telling everyone (including the train engineers) where to be for the perfect picture. We don’t know what shots other people got, but our guy nailed it.

[Editor’s note: We should have processed all these to look like Kodachrome snapshots. Opportunity missed.]
