Three Hamilton County girls soccer teams played at North Central’s Paul Loggan Invitational this past weekend, Sept. 5 and 6.
Hamilton Southeastern, the top-ranked team in Class 3A, scored two easy victories, first over Plainfield 6-0. Six different players scored one goal for the Royals: Addison McClain, Riley Boyd, Sydney May, Sloane May, Margaux Henning and Sophie Reising. Rylie Brydges, Sydney May, Henning, Bailey Sapp and Reising each dished out one assist.
The Royals won their second game 3-0 over the host Panthers. Boyd, Sydney May and Sloane May each scored one goal, with Rebekah Tekrony, Sloane May and Henning each making one assist.
Southeastern is 9-0 for the season and plays the Mudsock game Wednesday at Fishers.
Noblesville also got two wins at the Paul Loggan Invitational. The Millers beat Faith Christian, the No. 3-ranked team in 1A, 1-0, then took care of Lafayette Central Catholic 9-0. Noblesville is 5-2 and plays Wednesday night at Westfield in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game.
Sheridan played North Central tough, losing 1-0 before falling to Faith Christian 6-0. The 1A No. 11 Blackhawks are 4-2-1 and travel to Tri-Central Wednesday afternoon for a Hoosier Heartland Conference game.

Carmel, the No. 3 team in 3A, won two home games over the weekend.
On Friday, Sept. 5, the Greyhounds beat Mishawaka Marian, the top-ranked 2A team, 2-0. Adalyn Cameron scored both goals. Carmel followed that with a Saturday, Sept. 6 victory over Notre Dame Academy (Ky.). Cameron scored one goal and assisted Elsie Flanders on the other goal.
The ‘Hounds are 7-2 and host Chesterton Saturday afternoon.

University won a Pioneer Conference game 4-0 at Bethesda Christian Friday, Sept. 5.
The Trailblazers are unbeaten in conference play at 2-0 and are 3-3 overall. University plays Northwestern at 6 p.m. tonight.

Westfield cruised to a home win over Pendleton Heights 4-1 on Saturday, Sept. 6.
Talia Edwards scored two goals for the Shamrocks, followed by one goal each from Hailey McDaniel and Tatum Hauser. Elle Fischer made two assists, while McDaniel and Arriana Cooke-Dennis both had one assist.
Westfield is 6-0-1 and hosts Noblesville Wednesday in an HCC game.

Guerin Catholic dropped a 1-0 Circle City Conference game at Bishop Chatard Saturday, Sept. 6.
The Golden Eagles are 1-5-1 and finish conference play Thursday by hosting Roncalli.
