Carmel police officers catch more than an overweight vehicle

Photo provided by Carmel Police Department

While on patrol recently, Carmel police officers saw a tractor-trailer operating an overweight vehicle on Keystone Parkway. A traffic stop was initiated, and during the investigation, officers discovered the driver had an active warrant out of another county.

This incident highlights the proactive work Carmel’s police officers do every day to ensure traffic safety: enforcing laws and ordinances that protect the city’s roadways while uncovering issues that might have otherwise gone unnoticed.

Big rigs can mean big fines, but keeping local roads safe is always the biggest priority.

You didn’t state what the warrant was for so I’m sure it was for something minor. You arrested someone trying to earn a living albeit the trailer was over weight limit. Good job raising money for the county I’m not sure Carmel got any safer smh
