Dorothy Kay (Beaver) Vesey

September 7, 1935 – July 19, 2025

Dorothy Kay (Beaver) Vesey, born September 7, 1935, Noblesville, passed peacefully at home on July 19, 2025, surrounded by family.

She was born to the late Vern “Sam” Beaver and Dorothy (Messersmith) Beaver of Hamilton County. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Vesey, three siblings, Suzanne (Beaver) Blazer, Dale Beaver, George Ross Beaver, and her son Mark (Katrina) Vesey.

Kay is survived by her children, Michelle Vesey, Mike Vesey (Margaret), and Matthew Vesey, seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Kay is also survived by her nephew, Scott Lowther (Shelia), and niece Katrina Blackwell.

Kay was a graduate of Noblesville High School, Class of 1953. She later graduated from a local bookkeeping school. Shortly after graduation she married the love of her life, William J. Vesey.

Kay enjoyed a productive career in a variety of bookkeeping positions, office management, and worked in the attendance office at Noblesville High School for four years. She was a highly organized person who excelled in all of her vocations.

Kay was a lifelong, competitive Bridge enthusiast and gardener.

A private interment will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery. Information about a celebration of life will be available at a later date.
