Sold-out event focused on infrastructure, public safety & strategic investment

Hamilton County Commissioner Steve Dillinger delivered his annual State of the County address Wednesday afternoon at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in Noblesville, offering a comprehensive update on key initiatives shaping the county’s future.

Hosted by the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce, the sold-out luncheon brought together local business leaders, elected officials, and community stakeholders for a forward-looking address focused on infrastructure, public safety, and strategic investment.

Commissioner Dillinger spotlighted several major projects that are either nearing completion or set to launch in the coming year. These include:

  • The opening of a new 911 Communications Center, which will enhance emergency response coordination across the county
  • Expansion of the current Judicial Center to accommodate increased court capacity
  • A major remodel of the 4-H Fairgrounds, modernizing the facility while preserving its historic and cultural significance
  • Construction of a new public safety training facility, offering state-of-the-art resources for law enforcement, fire, and EMS personnel
  • Completion of a Regional Utility District, laying the groundwork for more coordinated and sustainable infrastructure planning

Commissioner Dillinger also provided updates on tourism, parks development, and the county’s growing partnership with Ivy Tech Community College. He also spoke to the county’s strong fiscal health, continued population growth, and the importance of long-term planning in managing both.

“There are so many big projects in motion right now that will impact Hamilton County for years and years to come,” Dillinger said. “It’s honestly mind-boggling – and exciting – to see the level of progress and planning that’s happening. It’s great to be in a county that’s thriving, growing, and full of vitality.”
