Classic rock fans had plenty to enjoy last Friday night at Cool Creek Park despite the warm summer evening.

The Classic Rock Experience Band took the stage, bringing to life the timeless sounds of rock’s biggest names. Faithful to the original bands’ style and spirit, the group delivered a heartfelt tribute to legendary acts like Led Zeppelin, Queen, Pink Floyd, and Journey.

The setlist featured beloved classics such as Journey’s “Separate Ways,” The Who’s “Pinball Wizard,” and Aerosmith’s “Dream On,” inspiring plenty of dancing, singing along, and warm applause from longtime rock enthusiasts.

In addition to the music, concertgoers enjoyed craft beverages from MashCraft Brewing, a variety of offerings from local food truck vendors, and a range of family-friendly activities. Kids had a blast in the bounce house and explored the Nature Education Trailer, presented by Duke Energy, which featured live turtles and interactive learning experiences with a naturalist.

The 2025 Cool Creek Summer Concert Series continues with Mike and Joe on July 11, Uptown Funk on July 18, and Echoes of Pompeii on Aug. 1. Get tickets online at myhamiltoncountyparks.com or at the gate the night of the show. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.
