Lacrosse: GC girls take care of Zionsville

The Guerin Catholic girls lacrosse team stayed perfect for the season Tuesday, beating Zionsville 13-6 in a home game.

The Golden Eagles led 9-2 at halftime. Gabby Deer was a force on offense, scoring five goals and getting three draw controls. Caroline Ford added three goals, with Claire Flannagan and Jane Cline both scoring two. Lila Jones scored one goal, while Flannagan made one assist.

Ford also made three draw controls, while Flannagan collected four ground balls. Grayson Navarro forced three turnovers. Audrey Papay made 10 saves.

Guerin Catholic won two close games in Ohio over the weekend, beating Upper Arlington 10-9 last Friday and Worthington 10-7 last Saturday. The Golden Eagles are now 10-0 for the season and play Tuesday at Carmel. The two teams have met for the Class 2A state championship every year since 2022.
