Roberta Louise Yohe, 99, Arcadia, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2025. Born on August 6, 1925, in Curtisville, Ind., to the late Harry and Elsie (Hillan) Parr, Roberta lived a long, full, and vibrant life that touched many hearts.
On February 25, 2000, Roberta married the love of her life, Jackie F. Yohe, and they shared 12 years of marriage. Roberta had a strong work ethic and worked hard for everything she had in life. She retired as a Retail Sales associate but never stopped enjoying the sales world, especially her love for Avon.
Known for her outgoing personality, Roberta was a member of the Elwood Professional Business Women’s Club and the Elwood Community Services. She was always up for a good time, whether it was taking leisurely rides on the golf cart, sharing her cooking talents with family and friends, or just enjoying a moment of lighthearted conversation. She had a heart of gold, always kind and compassionate to both friends and strangers alike.
Roberta leaves behind her son, David (Richard) Briscoe; her stepdaughters, Sandy (Glenn) Murray and Joa (John) Griffith, both of Elwood, Ind.; grandchildren, Brenda Briscoe of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Brent Briscoe of Evansville, Ind.; loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of loving extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Franklin Parr, mother, Elsie Elfie Parr, son, Stephen R. Briscoe, and her husband, Jackie F. Yohe.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, January 17 at Hartley Funeral Home, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero, with a funeral service to celebrate Roberta’s life at 1 p.m., with Mark Knapp officiating. Burial will follow in Curtisville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Curtisville Christian Church.
