Swimming: Tigers take two trophies at Mudsock meet

The Fishers swim teams swept the Mudsock meet, which took place Tuesday in the Tigers’ pool.

Fishers beat Hamilton Southeastern in both the girls meet and the boys meet by the same score, 116-70. In the girls meet, the Tigers won seven of the 12 events, including a pair of 1-2-3 sweeps in the individual medley and the 100 freestyle. Claire Francis was the winner of both those events.

Emily Wolf was also a double winner, taking the butterfly and backstroke races. Polina Sopova won the breaststroke and Fishers was first in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.

For the Royals, Kendal Dieckman was a double winner in the 200 and 500 freestyles. Zoe Rehm won diving, Naomi Haines triumphed in the 50 free and Southeastern began the meet with a victory in the medley relay.

Fishers’ boys won eight events. Jonny Hines was first in the 200 and 500 freestyles; other winners were Alex Koo (50 free), Jacob Schade (diving), Hudson Lee (100 free), Eduardo Sanchez (500 free) and the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.

HSE’s Jihoon Jung was a double winner in the IM and butterfly, while Collin Huston won the breaststroke. The Royals also were first in the medley relay.
