HSEF selected as recipient of Fishers Century Club’s December funds

Crowd-giving group votes to give to Hamilton Southeastern Education Foundation

The Fishers Century Club, a local philanthropic organization committed to supporting community nonprofits, held its December meeting on Tuesday at the Knowledge Services/Club Coworking event space in Fishers.

The evening showcased presentations from three local charitable organizations, with members ultimately selecting the Hamilton Southeastern Education Foundation (HSEF) as the winner of the quarter’s crowd-giving funds.

HSEF, a nonprofit supporting the Hamilton Southeastern School District, focuses on fostering innovation in education and enriching the student experience. In addition to funding creative classroom initiatives and supporting student-led projects, the foundation addresses pressing community needs. For example, last year, HSEF paid off thousands of dollars in student lunch debt for families on free and reduced lunch, ensuring all students have access to essential meals.

“We had the privilege of hearing from three outstanding charities at our December meeting, and club members ultimately selected the Hamilton Southeastern Education Foundation as the recipient of this quarter’s funds,” said Adam Kallick, local business owner and Founder of the Fishers Century Club. “HSEF is making an impact on our schools and community, and I’m proud of our club’s attendees who make these events successful.”

The Fishers Century Club also welcomed several new attendees at the December meeting as the group continues to grow. Members contribute $100 quarterly to pool their donations, allowing them to make a significant impact through collective giving, directly to the selected organization.

HSEF Executive Director Justin Hirnisey expressed gratitude for the selection, saying, “I was proud to be selected as one of the three guys to pitch their organization of choice at Tuesday’s Fishers Century Club gathering. It was a great group of community members who take time to support and amplify local charities. This support will help HSEF continue to invest in our schools, students, and community in meaningful ways.”

The Fishers Century Club encourages residents to attend future meetings and bring forward local 501(c)(3) charities for consideration. The next meeting is scheduled for March 2025.
