Westfield High School student Carson Seagrave recently traveled to Craig Hospital in Denver, Colo., to support his friend and former Shamrock Corban Phillips, who is recovering from a spinal cord injury. Through the hospital’s “Flying with Friends” program, Seagrave spent three days learning about spinal cord injuries and how to assist his friend with daily challenges, including transferring in and out of a wheelchair and participating in therapy. His empathy, dedication, and willingness to step up during a challenging time exemplify Westfield’s guiding principles, showing what it truly means to be life ready.
