The Sheridan boys basketball team scored a hard-fought win at Faith Christian on Monday, 74-65.
The Blackhawks led 18-13 after the first quarter. The Eagles cut into that lead slightly in the second period, but Sheridan enjoyed a 35-32 advantage at halftime. The ‘Hawks poured in 22 points in the third quarter for a 57-49 lead, then added 17 points in the fourth quarter.
Senior Damon Winston led the way for Sheridan, scoring 28 points, pulling six rebounds and handing out four assists. Trey Page added 15 points and had three assists. Devon Hamilton scored 10 points and also had three rebounds, three steals and two assists, while Caleb Wright had nine points and eight assists.
The Blackhawks are 3-1 and host Clinton Central Friday in a Hoosier Heartland Conference game.
