Millers beat Huskies

Noblesville beat Hamilton Heights 71-26 Thursday in an all-county girls basketball game at The Mill.

The Millers led 14-6 after one quarter and 34-14 at halftime. Noblesville continued to build its lead in the second half, going up 53-26 after three periods. The Millers outscored the Huskies 18-0 in the fourth quarter.

Meredith Tippner earned a triple-double with 19 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, also collecting nine steals. C.C. Quigley added 14 points, with Kate Rollins scoring 13 points and dishing out five assists. Maia Blower made four steals.

Katie Brown hit five 3-pointers for 15 points, while Presley Cherry made three triples for nine points. Reece Blanton led the rebounds with seven.

Noblesville is 5-3 and is off until next Thursday when it plays at Fishers for a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game. The Huskies are 0-8 and play Saturday afternoon at Connersville.
