Westfield girls open season with win at Kristin Rice Invitational

The Westfield girls swim team won its season-opening Kristin Rice Invitational last Saturday.

The Shamrocks scored 802 team points and won nine of 12 events. Freshman Evie Wheat was first in the 200 freestyle and backstroke, while Kiarra Thomas won the 50 and 100 freestyles. Other winners were Nora Sperry in the individual medley, Greta Smith in the 500 free, Ellie Hill in the breaststroke, and the Westfield medley and 200 free relays.
