Gobbler’s Jog 5K
Road closures will be in place between 7 and 9:30 a.m. Thanksgiving Day for the Gobblers Jog 5K. Northbound Pennington Road and a portion of 131st Street (in Saxony) will be closed during the event. Click here to view the route map. Find out more about the 5K at this link.
Wishbone 5K
Road closures will be in place between 7 and 9:30 a.m. Thanksgiving Day for the Wishbone 5K. The race begins in the YMCA parking lot, will go south to 126th Street, west on 126th, around the top of the circle at Lantern Road, continuing westbound on 126th to Saksons Boulevard; south on Saksons; west on Ellipse Parkway and around Ellipse Circle to Farley Drive, north on Farley, south on Turkel Drive, east on Sunblest Boulevard to Lantern; south on Lantern to the trail, then north on the trail to the finish at 126th Street. Sidewalk improvements
Howard Companies will conduct sidewalk repair improvements in the Avalon Neighborhood beginning Dec. 9, and CC&T will continue sidewalk repairs in Meadow Brook the week of Nov. 25.
The sidewalk work will consist of removal and replacement of sidewalk panels which pose a toe kick trip hazard. Sidewalk within driveways is not included in the scope of this project.
