Joan L. Allen Dawson, 78, Westfield, passed away April 9, 2018. She was born in Indianapolis on October 13, 1939 to the late Victor and Margaret (Peg) Dietz Wilson. She was a 1957 graduate of Westfield High School.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband Richard (Dick) Dawson and step-brother, Hubert Allen.
Survivors include sister, Becky (Terry) Carrithers; son, David Lee Dawson; daughter, Deborah Presley (Carl) Christensen and eight grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 14 at Christ United Methodist Church, Westfield, of which she was a member, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m.
