Kevin Robert Garris

Kevin Robert Garris, born May 31, 1956, passed away on November 15, 2024.

Kevin graduated from Butler University in May 1978 after majoring in Accounting. He was an active member and Treasurer of Delta Tau Delta fraternity.

Kevin was mischievous and smart, always working to get ahead, and soon owned several businesses ranging from computers to restaurants.

His favorite hobbies and greatest joys included:

• Traveling and cruising often, with fond memories of being able to swim with the dolphins in the Caribbean. He was also blessed to visit one of his favorite spots twice, Alaska.
• Kevin was an avid bowler and also loved his annual golf trips. He enjoyed visiting casinos and playing cards with family and friends. Double Deck Euchre was his favorite game.
• There were too many concerts to name, but Kevin was certain to see the Eagles as often as possible!
• In his later years, Kevin discovered a new joy and happiness, riding eTrikes with his wife and dear friends.
• Always an animal lover, Kevin owned many dogs over the years. You would often find him watching birds and deer in the yard, fox by the window, and he would delight to see any new critters along the way.

Kevin loved his wife Deb with his whole heart. He always said he was married 8/26 on Deb’s birthday so he would only have to remember one date every year … but we celebrated big!

Kevin was loyal and stayed connected with many friends from decades past. Especially close were dear friends Lloyd Ford, Steve Sgroi, and Charlie and Andi Thomaschek.

Surviving family includes his wife Deb Garris, married 46 years, sister Kathy Birk and husband Mike, nephews Chris and Nick, sister Tammy Chapman and nieces Nikki and Lexi. Kevin was the beloved son of the late Bob and Mary Garris.
