Submitted by Alaina for Noblesville
Noblesville Republican Alaina Shonkwiler has been elected as the next State Representative for Indiana House District 29.
House District 29 is located entirely within Hamilton County, including the city of Noblesville, and a small portion of Fishers. Shonkwiler will fill the seat of retiring State Representative Chuck Goodrich, and her term runs through 2026.
“Over the past several months, the experiences we’ve shared the people we’ve met across Noblesville and beyond have inspired and encouraged me, and I am humbled to have earned the support of District 29,” Shonkwiler said. “This is the community where Jason and I were raised, where we’ve been proud to serve our neighbors, and where we’re raising our family. We are lucky to live here, and it’s our responsibility to keep Hamilton County thriving. Our work is just beginning, and I am thankful for the opportunity to make a difference.”
Shonkwiler lives in Noblesville along with her husband, Jason, a Sergeant with the Noblesville Police Department and current High School Resource Officer, and their two school aged children, Hannah and Kyle.
