From American Idol to Feinstein’s at Hotel Carmichael, Lee DeWyze brings a moving performance to the stage on Oct. 10.
Hailing from the vibrant music scene of Chicago, DeWyze’s journey into the spotlight began at a young age, honing his craft in his local scene before catapulting to fame as the winner of American Idol Season 9.
Eager to showcase his identity as a songwriter post-American Idol, he embarked on a creative journey that led to the release of his debut album, Frames. His music soon found its way into the hearts of audiences worldwide, with one of his songs making its debut in the popular series The Walking Dead, opening doors into the world of licensing and synchronization and introducing his music to a whole new audience.
Since then, DeWyze’s music has been featured in over 100 shows, movies, trailers, and commercials, solidifying his status as a darling of the licensing and sync community. With four records he’s written under his belt, each blending indie and commercial appeal, he has firmly established himself as a prominent figure in the singer-songwriter scene.
Beyond his solo career, his songwriting prowess has led him to collaborate with and write for numerous other artists, further expanding his influence within the music industry. For the past 15 years, he has graced stages around the world, captivating audiences with his emotional performances and timeless storytelling.
Recently, DeWyze ventured to Tennessee to embark on his next musical chapter, diligently crafting his upcoming album set for release in 2024. Whether he’s on stage, in the studio, or weaving his melodies into the fabric of beloved films and television shows, he continues to leave an indelible mark on the music landscape, enchanting listeners with his emotion fueled songs and authentic, honest storytelling.
