Volleyball: Sheridan sweeps Senior Night

The Sheridan volleyball team swept its Senior Night match on Tuesday, beating Taylor 25-12, 25-6, 25-22 in a Hoosier Heartland Conference match.

Senior Kenzie Garner was dominant on offense with 15 kills, while seniors Nova Cross put down six and Trinity Parkin had five. Lainey Mendenhall hit four kills. Senior Ali Pickard served five aces. Adria Jump had two aces and scored 17 points on 21 serving attempts. Jump also dished out 25 assists.

Pickard and Garner both collected six digs. Jump had five digs, with Parkin and Meredith Krupp each making four. Garner had two solo blocks, while Cross and Mendenhall both had one block assist.

The Blackhawks are 2-1 in conference play and 8-6 overall. Sheridan travels to Carroll tonight for another league match.

Hamilton Southeastern won a four-set match at Yorktown Tuesday, 25-15, 25-22, 23-25, 25-17.

The Royals are 10-1 and play the Mudsock match tonight at Fishers.

Noblesville picked up a five-set victory over McCutcheon Tuesday, 25-17, 25-18, 27-25, 21-25, 15-11.

The Millers are 6-2 and play tonight at Westfield.

University dropped two matches this week.

The Trailblazers fell to Bishop Chatard on Monday 23-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-17, and were swept by Faith Christian on Tuesday 25-12, 25-10, 25-7. University is 4-5 and hosts Shortridge tonight in a Pioneer Conference match.
