Westfield Mayor discusses issues facing seniors at SCHC’s ‘Together Today’

On Tuesday, Westfield Mayor Scott Willis joined a group of 25 seniors at Shepherd’s Center of Hamilton County’s Westfield Together Today program.

Mayor Willis shared upcoming plans for the City of Westfield and did a Q&A with the seniors to discuss issues they are facing as they age. As a veteran of the Marines, Mayor Willis connected with several attendees who also served in the military and engaged in friendly banter with some very proud members of the Navy.

“Together Today is a really great program for our seniors,” Mayor Willis said. “It is a great way for seniors to interact with others and be more social.”

Shepherd’s Center of Hamilton County hosts a Together Today program every day of the week at a different location in the county. The program is free for seniors aged 55 and over and includes social time with games and cards, lunch, and a structured activity like Bingo.
