Noblesville police arrest alleged shooter in apparent road rage incident

On Monday, April 15, officers from the Noblesville Police Department (NPD) responded to the 1200 block of Brady Lane regarding several 911 calls reporting a disturbance that involved the sound of a shot being fired.

Officers arrived on the scene a short time later and located a male subject who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and a female subject who appeared to be the shooter. Officers quickly tended to the victim, providing first aid until medical personnel arrived on the scene.

The victim was transported by ground ambulance to Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis with non-life-threatening injuries.

The alleged suspect was detained and questioned by police. After speaking with witnesses and analyzing potential evidence at the scene, it appears that the suspect and victim were involved in a possible road rage incident that occurred near the intersection of Boden Road and 146th Street. The incident continued to the Meadows of Shelbourne housing addition when both vehicles came to a stop in the 1200 block of Brady Lane. It’s alleged that a short time later the suspect pointed her firearm at the victim and fired one shot striking the victim in the shoulder.

The victim has been identified as Douglas A. Campbell, 42, Noblesville. He was treated at the hospital for his injuries and released shortly thereafter.
