Greyhounds beat Heritage Christian

Carmel got back in the winning column on Tuesday, beating Heritage Christian 41-39 at the Eric Clark Activity Center.

The Eagles led 12-9 after one quarter, but the ‘Hounds came back in the second period, scoring 19 points for a 28-22 lead. Mackenzie Woods scored nine points in that quarter. Carmel led 39-28 after three periods, then held on as Heritage made a fourth-quarter comeback.

Woods finished the game with 13 points, while Keaton Gatlin scored nine.

The Greyhounds are 6-7 and play in the Walt Raines Classic at Franklin Community on Saturday. Carmel plays Castle at noon, then takes on either Zionsville or the host Grizzly Cubs later that afternoon.
