Softball: Four county players named to All-State teams

Four Hamilton County softball players were honored on the Softball Coaches Association of Indiana’s All-State team for the 2023 season.

Hamilton Southeastern senior Payton Fox and junior Noblesville Gabby Fowler were named to the 3A/4A Second Team All-State, while Noblesville senior Taylor Thompson and Fishers sophomore Kate Murray were named to the 3A/4A Third Team All-State.

In addition, 10 county players were named as Academic All-State.

Those players are: Shealeigh Skinner and Lily Sullivan of Carmel; Ashtin Grubb and Sophie Schoch of Fishers; Payton Fox and Paige Gould of Hamilton Southeastern; Tatum Ball, Taylor Thompson and Erin Clark of Noblesville and Chaney Smith of Sheridan. Meanwhile, Southeastern’s Sage Ladig and Steph Penny were named as Academic All-State Honorable Mention.

Noblesville was named to the Team Academic All-State. The Millers had a team grade-point average of 3.78.
