The Noblesville Elks’ 37th annual golf outing benefiting cancer research was a huge success with 144 golfers participating. The event was held last Saturday morning at Fox Prairie Golf Course, 8465 E. 196th St., Noblesville. Proceeds went to Purdue University Cancer Research Center and Indiana University Cancer Research Center.

According to Kathy Davis, Steve and Linda Renner have always been major contributors, purchasing golfer gift bags and other amenities for these events every year.

Among the many sponsor contributions of money and time and promotional assistance, Duke Energy gave every golfer a rain poncho and Crew Car Wash gave golfers tickets for free car washes.

According to Steve Vallier, the event raised over $26,000.
