2027 Songbook Academy applications now open

Know a talented high school singer ready to take their performance to the next level? Encourage them to apply for the 2027 Songbook Academy!

Forty high school vocalists will be selected for an immersive eight-day experience July 17 to 24, 2027, in Carmel. Participants will learn from Broadway stars, award-winning recording artists, leading vocal coaches and accomplished music educators through personalized coaching, workshops, and performances at Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts.

Students in grades 9 through 12, including homeschooled students, are eligible to apply by submitting two contrasting audition videos. Applying early offers several advantages:

• Save on the application fee. Submit an application by Dec. 31, 2026, to receive the early-bird rate of $35. The fee increases to $50 after that date.
• Receive an earlier admission decision. Students who submit complete applications by March 21, 2027, will receive an admission decision by April 14, 2027.
• Keep the final deadline in mind. All applications must be submitted by March 28, 2027, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Applications submitted after the March 21 priority deadline may receive a decision after April 14.

Every applicant receives written feedback from a national panel of music professionals and educators, regardless of admission status.

Fees & financial assistance

The program fee is $1,250 and covers tuition, room and board, and transportation between program housing and scheduled activities. Full and partial financial assistance and application fee waivers are available.
