Artist Amelia Molen, a Zionsville Community High School senior, was honored for her work on the 2025-26 mural at Robert Goodman Jewelers during recent dedication ceremonies at the shop.

Members of Molen’s family, friends, school representatives, and residents from the surrounding community attended the Sept. 20 event.

The painting covers the rear exterior wall of the shop, whose address is 106 N. Main St., Zionsville. The mural overlooks North 1st Street and will be on display until next summer.

“I heard about the opportunity to create the mural through one of my art classes [at Zionsville Community High School] last January,” Molen said. “As soon as school ended for the day, I headed to the shop, introduced myself and asked Mr. Goodman if I could paint this year’s mural, and I was hired on the spot.”

She began working on the mural on June 1, and worked throughout the summer months, listening to music by The Beatles for inspiration during the creative process.

“We love contributing to the Village’s artistic aesthetic with the mural,” said shop co-owner Rose-Marie Goodman. “We’re so happy with how this year’s creation turned out, and thank Amelia for her time, effort and tremendous talents.”

Shop co-owner Robert Goodman added that this is the 13th year of the tradition of having local high school students design and paint the mural.

Following high school, Molen said she plans to study graphic design at either Purdue University or the University of Cincinnati.
