Early in the day Saturday, July 4, while the denizens of Arcadia (top) and Atlanta (bottom) were off barbecuing, attending festivals, and otherwise enjoying their Fourth festivities of choice, The Reporter was dropping off newspapers for our subscribers to read with Monday’s mail. Along the way we snapped a few photos of the quiet patriotism Midwestern American towns do so well. Flags lined the streets in those tiny towns, and it did our collective old newspaper hearts good to see the streets waving the red, white, and blue.
