On April 18, the Westfield Chamber of Commerce welcomed several students from Westfield High School (WHS) teacher John Moore’s entrepreneurship class for the annual Innovation Luncheon.

Students pitched their business plans, and attendees spoke with each group of students before voting for their favorites. The top three groups then presented in front of everyone and a winner was selected.

The students offered an array of new creations spanning from apps to kitchen appliances to sporting technology. Pretty Pinchers, Fridge Bridge, and LitMatch advanced out of 15 groups competing to pitch their idea to all luncheon attendees. Fridge Bridge won the contest and were awarded $1,000 from Indiana Members Credit Union to continue their investment into their product.

Congratulations to the top five finalists who will head to the WHS Innovation Competition on May 8. Thank you for your continued support for the Innovation Luncheon and to this year’s sponsors WKRP Indy, Indiana Members Credit Union, and the Hampton Inn Westfield.
