Last Friday, June 5, Scouts from Carmel’s Scouting America Troop 733 demonstrated how to display and care for the American Flag, in preparation for this year’s 250th Anniversary of the birth of our nation. In recent years, the organization formerly known as “Boy Scouts of America” was renamed as “Scouting America,” and now encourages girls to join the boys on their projects and adventures. Here, three scout leaders and eight Scouts (five boys and three girls) demonstrated proper flag etiquette and handling to several residents at two assisted living facilities on the north side of Indianapolis.
