Students at Hamilton Heights Elementary School recently unveiled their latest work of art created in honor of artist Wayne Thiebaud.

Thiebaud is an American painter known for his colorful works depicting commonplace objects, especially desserts. The mural will be the most recent to be displayed at Iris Rubber Company, located at 10 E. Jackson St., Cicero. Owner Steve Stewart has been growing an outdoor gallery of student artwork to share with the community for the last eight years.

Iris Rubber Co. is one of Cicero’s oldest continually operated businesses.
