Did you know that the Hamilton County Artists’ Association (HCAA) has a youth membership program that is open to all high school art students in Hamilton County? They meet on the third Wednesday of each month. This is a valuable opportunity for students to meet juried artists and learn new techniques and avenues to enhance their knowledge of art, from drawing to painting, and from realism to abstract to Impressionism. They even learned about spinning yarn from fresh cut and cleaned wool. Next month they will get a lesson in clay sculpting. HCAA encourages its youth members to pursue art in all its variations and the camaraderie of getting to know other high school artists in Hamilton County.
