Wild adventures await at Tipton public library

Silly Safaris Brings exotic animals to Summer Reading Program

Get ready for a roaring good time as Tipton County Public Library (TCPL) presents Silly Safaris, an exciting educational animal encounter program, as part of this year’s Summer Reading Program, “Color Our World.”

This interactive presentation will bring fascinating creatures directly to young readers and their families at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 26 in the Grand Hall of the library’s main branch, located at 127 E. Madison St. This event is free for families with children of all ages.

The Silly Safaris program combines education with entertainment, featuring live animals and engaging presentations designed to spark curiosity about wildlife conservation and the natural world. Professional animal educators will introduce attendees to a variety of animals, sharing fascinating facts about their habitats, behaviors, and the critical role they play in the ecosystem.

Why this program matters

The event supports TCPL’s ongoing summer reading initiative, which encourages children to maintain their reading skills during the summer months while discovering new interests and hobbies. Studies show that children who participate in summer reading programs are more likely to start the new school year at or above their previous reading level.

Join TCPL for a summer full of reading adventures. For more details, access TCPL 24/7 at TiptonCountyLibrary.org.
