Westfield Welcome’s 10th annual Melt the Trail 5K returns in March. The 5K will start at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 2 at Grand Junction Brewing Company, 1189 E. 181st St., Westfield.
“Health and well-being are priorities for a thriving community,” Mayor Scott Willis said. “Events like Melt the Trail not only provide opportunities for our residents to connect with each other but reminds everyone that our trails are accessible year-round.”
Westfield Welcome continues to partner with Grand Junction Brewing Company to host the race festivities. After the race, participants can redeem their drink ticket, purchase food, and enjoy music and arcade games. The taproom is friendly for both kids and dogs, making it a perfect opportunity for the whole family to join in the fun.
The cost to register is $35 and will increase to $40 on Feb. 18. To guarantee a Melt the Trail long-sleeve shirt, the deadline to register is Feb. 13. Early packet pickup details will be available in the coming weeks. Race day packet pickup will take place at Grand Junction Brewing Company. To sign up, visit MeltTheTrail.com.
