The Westfield wrestling team finished 4-1 at the North Central Tournament on Saturday.
The Shamrocks dropped their first meet in a close dual to East Central, but then rattled off four straight big wins, over Lawrence Central 71-3, North Central 54-14, Greenfield-Central 54-19 and Hamilton Southeastern 56-21.
Four Westfield wrestlers went 5-0 for the day: Braxton Vest at 106 pounds, Carson Eldred at 120, Milo Merkel at 138 and Dakota Arvin at 220. Mike Platonov was 4-0 at 285 pounds, while Thadeus O’Neill was 2-0 at 126. Dylan Driver (113), Seth Martin (182) and Gabe Arvin (195) all were 4-1 at the tournament.
