Westfield Welcome has announced several new events and programs for Summer 2023, taking place at Grand Junction Plaza, 225 S. Union St., Westfield.
“Grand Junction Plaza continues to be a popular destination for families, and the programming Westfield Welcome offers encourages those community connections,” Mayor Andy Cook said. “We’ve always envisioned year-round programming, and this is certainly a step in that direction.”
Workout Wednesday
Attendees will enjoy a complimentary one-hour workout class led by local instructors. Workouts will vary between yoga and high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Classes take place at 8:15 a.m. every Wednesday starting Wednesday, June 7 on the Meadow Lawn at Grand Junction Plaza. Fit4Mom will also offer Stroller Strides at 9:30 a.m., a fee-based workout class.
Creek Stomps
Participants will explore the Grassy Branch Creek located within Grand Junction Plaza. Participants can splash around and beat the heat while learning about watersheds, invasive species, and creek wildlife. Creek Stomps take place at 10 a.m. every Thursday beginning June 8. Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance as there is a 20-person maximum per stomp. Williams Creek Management sponsors Creek Stomps.
