Westfield Washington Schools names Dana Dietz as Monon Trail principal

Westfield Washington Schools announced Wednesday that Dana Dietz, currently an assistant principal at Zionsville Community Schools, has been named principal of Westfield’s Monon Trail Elementary School. Dietz will begin her new role on Monday, Aug. 5.

Dietz has served as an administrator in Zionsville for four years and as an assistant principal at Zionsville West Middle School and Pleasant View Elementary School. Prior to that, she served as an instructional coach at Avon Community Schools. She has also taught in kindergarten, second and third grades, served as a child advocacy instructor and as a tutor/teacher therapist.

Dietz received a master’s of business administration in education leadership at the University of Indianapolis and was the first cohort of 15 educators in Indiana to receive this unique dual master’s degree.

“I am thrilled Dana is joining our team here in Westfield,” said Superintendent Dr. Sherry Grate. “Her vast experience, drive and dedication to education and leadership will be a true asset to the students, staff and families of Westfield Washington Schools.”

“I am excited about the opportunity to lead at Monon Trail Elementary School,” said Dietz. “I look forward to getting to know the staff, students and families and building strong relationships in the upcoming months.”

Dietz is married to Brett and has two children.
