The City of Westfield has updated its solicitation ordinance. The ordinance now includes the following restrictions:
- Solicitors are restricted from approaching any home displaying a “No Soliciting” sticker, decal or sign. However, solicitors are allowed to solicit in any neighborhood or subdivision even if a “No Soliciting” sticker is posted at the entrance.
- Solicitation hours are now 10 a.m. to 30 minutes after sunset Monday to Saturday.
Reminder: Solicitors are REQUIRED to have a permit. You can pick up free “No Soliciting” stickers for your home at Westfield Police Department during office hours.
