Westfield got a solid road victory on Wednesday, beating Bishop Chatard 59-52 at the Trojans’ gym.
The Shamrocks led 11-6 after one quarter and 26-20 at halftime. Ellie Kelleher scored 11 points in the first half, including two 3-pointers. Reagan Lorenzen also made a couple triples, both in the first quarter. Lorenzen followed that up with two more 3s in the third period, part of a 20-point quarter for Westfield.
Lorenzen finished with 16 points, scoring in each quarter. Kelleher added 15 points. Lindsey Van Dyke helped out with 10 points, all in the second half, including two 3-pointers.
The ‘Rocks are 12-5 and host Class 3A No. 2 Hamilton Heights Saturday afternoon.
