The Westfield Police Department (WPD) proudly supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which takes place in October every year.

To show this to the public, some officers will wear pink enameled police badges throughout the month.

This campaign promotes increased awareness of the disease and offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer. It also raises funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and a cure.

WPD hopes that the pink badges serve not only as a reminder to encourage citizens to get their mammograms and screening check-ups on a regular basis, but to also convey a message of hope for others on their own breast cancer journey and to let them know that they are not fighting this battle alone.
