The Westfield Lions Club participated in the back-to-school event, “Rock the Block”, hosted by the Westfield Education Foundation on Aug. 5. The Lions, along with numerous other community groups and organizations provided fun and games for the students and parents during the event.

The Lions also promoted their new clubhouse, located at 1031 E. 169th St., and provided information for Westfield High School students interested in joining the Leo Club (the Lions Club’s youth organization).  Along with this, the Lions set up a “Washer Toss” game for the students, who were rewarded with candy for their participation.

The Westfield Lions Club is a service organization that has been serving the citizens of Westfield since 1930. The Club is looking for men and women interested in making a difference for Westfield and for others in need. The Lions support Westfield Washington Schools with scholarships, grants, vision assistance and opportunities for community service work through the Leo Club. The Lions also provide support for several other organizations and events in the community. Go to westfieldlions.org to learn more about the Westfield Lions or to become a member.
