Westfield Chamber talking local government finance with Oscar Gutierrez of Bondy Consulting

The Westfield Chamber invites business leaders, residents, and guests to attend the March Luncheon featuring Oscar Gutierrez on Thursday, March 21 at The Club at Chatham Hills, 1100 Chatham hills Blvd., Westfield.

As the Founder and Principal of Bondry Consulting, Gutierrez brings with him over a decade of public finance insight and value to his clients. His public service includes serving as the City of Fishers’ first Controller where he oversaw its Town-to-City financial transition and earned Fishers the unique distinction of operating as the only Indiana city with a ‘AAA’ credit rating from Standard and Poor’s. Before his time at Fishers, he held the same position for the City of Lawrence, where he increased cash reserves by 200 percent and helped upgrade the city’s credit rating.

Before Bondry, Gutierrez served as the Senior Director of Facility Strategy and Financing for The Mind Trust and Adjunct Associate Faculty at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, School of Public and Environmental Affairs.

Gutierrez currently serves on the executive board of Bosma Enterprises, the executive board of Quality Connection of Indiana, the Supervisory Committee for Everwise, and most recently joined the board of Student Impact. He was formerly a trustee for the Indianapolis Marion County Public Library and the commissioner for the Indiana War Memorials. He has been recognized as Indianapolis Business Journal’s “40 under 40,” as well as Indy’s Best and Brightest winner in the field of Government by Junior Achievement of Central Indiana.

In his free time, Gutierrez enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Madeline, and three children, Darwin, Kenley, and Oscar.

During the luncheon, Gutierrez will cover the state of local government finances. He will cover property taxes and growth at the city and county levels with an in-depth comparison to Hamilton County’s peers around the state.

The event will kick off at 11 a.m. with the opportunity to network with other attendees and businesses. You will also have the opportunity meet with different companies’ display tables. Guests will then enjoy a delicious lunch. Remarks will begin at 11:45 a.m.
