Westfield announces details for Rocks the 4th

Westfield Rocks the 4th, presented by Citizens Energy Group, will be celebrated on Sunday, July 3 and Monday, July 4 at Grand Park Sports Campus from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. both days.

Westfield Rocks the 4th features food, music and fun for the entire family. Attendees can enjoy food and drinks from food trucks, free concerts and a fireworks display. Jennie DeVoe and Toy Factory will kick off the festivities on Sunday, July 3 and Barometer Soup takes the Main Stage on Monday, July 4. While the event is free to attendees, the Kids Zone area requires wristbands, which can be purchased online or at the event; wristbands are $10 each day or $15 for both days.

“Citizens Energy Group is committed to helping make the communities we serve better places to live, work and play,” Citizens Energy Group President and CEO Jeffery Harrison said. “As such, Citizens is proud to be presenting sponsor of this year’s Westfield Rocks the 4th.”

New to the event this year is a kids’ stage that will feature Mik the Music Man, magic shows and demonstrations. Westfield Welcome has also partnered with Indiana Army Nation Guard to have additional inflatables and activities for older kids in the Kids Zone. Bullpen Tournaments will also be hosting their College All-Star Baseball Game on Dimond one beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 4.

“We are thrilled Westfield Rocks the 4th continues to grow each year since we kicked it off in 2010,” Mayor Andy Cook said. “This is a wonderful opportunity for our residents and visitors to connect and celebrate the holiday.”

Sign-ups for the Frank’s Frank Hot Dog Eating Contest are available online now. Limited preferred parking can also be purchased in advance for Monday, July 4 for $20, or on-site if still available.
