Guerin Catholic graduate Eli Wessel won the first-place trophy at the Indiana Junior Golf Boys State Junior Championship, which took place last week at Purdue University’s Ackerman-Allen Course. After qualifying through stroke play, Wessel won the 64-man match play round, beating Boonville’s Alex Cook 2&1 in the championship match.
