Starting today, Indianapolis will play host the U.S. Olympic swimming trials through June 23 at Lucas Oil Stadium, and the City of Carmel boasts 14 swimmers participating.
Carmel will temporarily be known as “SwimCity, USA” in honor of these local Olympic hopefuls. Mayor Sue Finkam stopped by the Carmel Swim Academy on Monday to kick off SwimCity, USA and meet future championship youth swimmers.

Carmel’s Olympic Trial qualifiers will swim today through June 22. The prelims take place at home today in the morning, then watch the semi-finals starting at 8 p.m.
