Holiday at Carter Green, sponsored by Allied Solutions, is Carmel’s annual festival and holiday tree lighting ceremony on opening day of the Christkindlmarkt and The Ice at Carter Green, Saturday Nov. 18.
Visitors to the event can enjoy jugglers, carolers, balloon artists, and face painters, and children will receive a free goodie bag filled with surprises, donated by event sponsors while supplies last. You won’t want to miss Mayor Jim Brainard arriving with Santa and his reindeer to welcome everyone and conduct the countdown to the tree lighting.
The festival will take place from 3:15 to 6:30 p.m., with the tree lighting at dusk – approximately 5:30 p.m.

Thank you to the Holiday at Carter Green sponsor, Allied Solutions and the in-kind sponsors Actors Theatre of Indiana, Brad Osborne, Carmel Arts Council, and the Carmel Mayor’s Youth Council.
To add to the festive aura at Carter Green, a new Palladiscope experience has been added. The Towering Nutcracker imagery will display nightly starting at nightfall until 10 p.m. Thank you to Blockhouse Studios for creating this unique and seasonal experience. Please note that on the half-hour, the nutcracker’s mouth will open and shut, causing the snow to fall away from the façade, and then it will start over again. Please enjoy this magical backdrop to the Christkindlmarkt.
