Wayne Lucore, 92, Westfield, passed away September 21, 2019. He was born on an Angus cattle ranch in Arriba, Colo., on May 1, 1927, son of Alonzo and Bessie (Switzer) Lucore.
Wayne attended McPherson College in Kansas, University of Denver in Colorado, and Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage, where he graduated cum laude with a degree in Business Administration.
Following World War II, Wayne worked in postwar relief in Italy for two years and served as Vice Present of a trucking company in Denver for 24 years, as well as Executive Director of the Alaska Carriers Association for 10 years.
Wayne enjoyed traveling, collecting stamps, and researching genealogy.
In 2009, Wayne moved to Indiana to be close to family living at the Stratford Retirement Community.
He is survived by four daughters, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of a funeral service, the family will personally celebrate Wayne’s Life.
In memory of Wayne, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
