The Michael Virgona Learning Garden at Washington Woods Elementary School in Westfield was made possible with funding from the friends and family of the Virgona Family, along with donations made by Washington Woods families and other members of the community. Michael Virgona was an uncle to two students at Washington Woods, avid gardener, and is remembered for his love of the outdoors. His love and legacy will live on through this garden. Students, families, and the Washington Woods PTO have been hard at work in preparation for the growing season. The dedication ceremony is set to take place in May.
