Waldo Frank “Wally” Mann, 67, formerly of Hillsdale, Mich., passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023, at the Laurels of Coldwater. He was born November 15, 1955, in Hillsdale to Donald and Lavona (Vaughn) Mann Sr.
For over 30 years, Wally was employed at Tri-Wall, later International Paper in Butler, Ind. He was an avid bowler who enjoyed bowling competitively and on many different leagues. Wally was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Butler and the American Legion. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter, Amber Mann of Los Angeles, Calif.; one son, Travis Mann of Edon, Ohio; two grandchildren, Memphis, and Monroe Mann; three sisters, Jennifer (Scott) Somsel of Gresham, Ore., Kim (Andy) Burlew of Allen, Mich., and Doretta Hile of Huntsville, Ala.; and two brothers, James Bice of Holland, Mich., and Randy (Alma) Gibson of Arizona.
In addition to his parents, Wally was preceded in death by three siblings, Donald Mann Jr., Darlene Mann, and Jeffrey Bice; and one brother-in-law, Steve Hile.
Memorial services for Waldo “Wally” Mann will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2023, at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Pastor Rob Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday from 3 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
