The Westfield volleyball team swept Perry Meridian on Wednesday 25-14, 25-17, 25-19.
The Shamrocks were led by Kinsey McAfee with 13 kills, Kenzie Daffinee with four aces, and Claire Hindman with 11 digs. Caroline Sinicki finished the match with 29 assists.
Carmel got a Metropolitan Conference victory on Wednesday, sweeping Lawrence Central 25-15, 25-6, 25-13.
Mo Armstrong hit nine kills for the Greyhounds, and also served two aces. Sophie Oliphant made six digs. Carmel is now 4-8 for the season.
Guerin Catholic’s Jasmine Wolfgram (7) goes up to hit a kill during the Golden Eagles’ Wednesday Circle City Conference match with Roncalli at the Eagles Best. Guerin was swept by Roncalli 25-19, 25-18, 25-16, but coach Ashley Pertile was pleased with how her team played against such a tough opponent. “As a team we made big steps tonight,” said Pertile.
